Can Do Kid, Inc. and Mill Valley Baby & Kids Company Partner to Launch 'Can Do' Corner & Culture Initiative March 6, 2005

Join us Sunday, 3 p.m. March 6 at the Masonic Temple in the Mill Valley, across from City Hall, for a Family "Fun Raiser" to raise funds for Tsunami victims while celebrating the 'Can Do' Spirit in our community.

Local merchants will participate with food, beverages, jugglers, and music to make the event a great family day. While we enjoy the festivities, let us pay tribute to all of those who have suffered from the horrific Tsunami in Indonesia. 100% of all sales will go towards the relief effort. Admission to the event is $10 per adult and $5 per child. Attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes and gifts from local sponsoring merchants.

Lily Kantor, owner of the Mill Valley Baby & Kids Company, says, "We want to celebrate being in the business of being a family. The 'Can Do' Corner will be dedicated to toys, games and books that focus on the development of a positive attitude; And a positive attitude is the basis for sustainable positive habits."

According to Deborah Luster, founder of Can Do Kid, Inc., "This cultural initiative is a means for our Mill Valley families to have a "Fun Raiser" for families hit by the Tsunami. "We have all heard inspirational stories about the seemingly impossible achievements of everyday people. Armed with little more than a "can-do attitude," they explored, created, or invented their way into achieving their goals and dreams. For these people, 80% of their achievement was attitude and the two most powerful words in their vocabulary are "I can!"

This event marks the launch of The Can Do Kid corner @ Mill Valley Baby & Kids Company. It is the first of a series of events benefiting Can Do families, parents, and children. Together we can celebrate our local community while helping another community across the globe. Let us make this a Can Do Kid day! Our personal stories are as familiar, and yet unique, as those of all families. Help us inspire kids of all ages to live by the CAN DO credo.
